A tiny world that lives on your machine

Run pnpm start and characters move, meet, talk, and remember. Works with your API keys or none.

See it run

Three characters chatting at Sunbeam Plaza on a hex-tile map, with an activity feed of conversations, memories and things left at the Tinker Shed.
Characters wander between five places, talk, and leave things at the Tinker Shed. The feed threads each conversation.
The inspector for a character named Juniper, showing what she is doing, her personality and her friendships with Moss and Tinker.
Click a character to see what they are thinking, who they know, and what they remember. Nudge them with a directive.

How it works

  1. Create characters

Name them and write a personality, or start with the ready-made cast.

  2. They live on their own

They keep moving, talking, and forming memories while you are away. Everything runs on your machine.

  3. You steer

Send directives, change the world speed, pause it, and set per-character and server-wide budgets.

Bring your own keys

Daily budgets cap spend per character and server-wide (default server cap $2).
